much和more修饰比较级的区别

1.much的比较级就是more。

如果出现much more beautiful这类的话,much是副词,more与beautilful共同组成比较级,意为“比……更美丽得多”。因为more可以是much的比较级,除了与多音节形容词组成比较级外,还可以作副词,如watch TV more 更多地看电视。

2. much用来修饰形容词的比较级,more与多音节的形容词和副词构成比较级。

3. 前者可以修饰比较级（以及最高级），后者不能。如：Socialism is a much higher social system than capitalism.后者可修饰原级形容词、或副词（单音节除外），前者不能。即多音节形容词、副词比较级：more expensive, intelligent, generous, frightened, anxiously.前者可以修饰不作形容词的分词，后者不能。如：This film has been much admired, much discussed, much criticized.前者可以修饰后者，反之则不能。如：She is much more beautiful than she was underage.
